Definition of Vocalize

Vo´cal`ize   Pronunciation: vō´kal`īz
v. t.1.To form into voice; to make vocal or sonant; to give intonation or resonance to.
[imp. & p. p. Vocalized (vō"kal*īzd); p. pr. & vb. n. Vocalizing (vō"kal*ī*zĭng).]
It is one thing to give an impulse to breath alone, another thing to vocalize that breath.
