Rhon´chus
n.
1.
(Med.)
An
adventitious
whistling
or
snoring
sound
heard
on
auscultation
of
the
chest
when
the
air
channels
are
partially
obstructed
.
By
some
writers
the
term
rhonchus
is
used
as
equivalent
to
râle
in
its
widest
sense
.
