amine
attached

purine
ring

prepared
from
adenosine

the
enzyme
adenosine
deaminase
,
or
by
chemical
deamination
,
as
with
nitrous
acid
.
It
participates
in
some
cellular
functions
,
but
is
not
one
of
the
normal
nucleoside
components
of
RNA
.
