thyroid
gland
characterized
by
the
pathologically
excessive
production
of
thyroid
hormones

also

the
resulting
condition
characterized
by
increased
metabolism

weight
loss
,
rapid
heart
rate
,
high
blood
pressure
,
an
enlarged
thyroid
gland
and
sometimes
exophthalmos
.
It
leads
to

be

levels
of
triiodothyronine
or
thyroxin
.
