named
because

spirit

They
are

,
oily
,
inflammable
liquids
,
C6H4
.(
CH3
)
2
,
being
dimethyl
benzenes
,
and
are
called
respectively
orthoxylene
,
metaxylene
,
and
paraxylene
.
Called
also
xylol
.
