It
is
noted
for
the
very
tender
quality
of
its
flesh
,
and
is
a
favorite
culinary
vegetable
in
England
.
It
has
been
said
to
be
of
Persian
origin
,
but
is
now
thought
to
have
been
derived
from
a
form
of
the
American
pumpkin
.
