horse

caused
by
inflammation

the
synovial
membrane
and
a
consequent
excessive
secretion
of

synovial
fluid

probably
so
called
because
there
is
usually
an
oval
swelling
on
each
side
of
the
leg
,
appearing
somewhat
as
if
a
pin
had
been
thrust
through
.
