manufacturing
soda
by
treating
salt
with
sulphuric
acid
,
reducing
the
sodium
sulphate
so
formed
to
sodium
sulphide
by
roasting
with
charcoal
,
and
converting
the
sodium
sulphide
to
sodium
carbonate
by
roasting
with
lime
.
