genus
Jacana
and
several
allied
genera
,
all
of
which
have
spurs
on
the
wings
.
They
are
able
to
run
about
over
floating
water
weeds
by
means
of
their
very
long
,
spreading
toes
.
Called
also
surgeon
bird
.
