Head´bor`ough   Pronunciation: hĕd´bŭr`ô
n.1.The chief of a frankpledge, tithing, or decennary, consisting of ten families; - called also borsholder, boroughhead, boroughholder, and sometimes tithingman. See Borsholder.
2.(Modern Law) A petty constable.
